Password managers can be divided into free, fremium and commercial-level options. Free and the most common option for fremium users. Free equipment, such as Keepus, and Freemium Options, such as Bitwardon, seem to be the most popular options.
Dashlen was till now of the Freemium Group. Password manager’s developers Announced dissection Free plan this week.
From September 16, 2025, Dashlen Free will no longer be available. Dashlen’s free user can switch to a premium or friends and family planning to continue using the service. Those who do not want to pay for the password manager have their password to export data till 16 September.
Dashlen began to inform all the users of the free plan by email about the planned dissection of the product. This will upgrade all free users to “testing select premium features”. During this test, users have no limit about passwords or passakies, or the number of devices they can run the dashlen.
However, users have to subscribe to the plan made by September 16, 2025 to export their passwords either to export their passwords or to continue using dashlen and to reach their data. Dashlen began to limit free tier users to 25 passwords in 2023.

Dashlen holds two plans for non-business users: premium and friend and family. Both share most features, such as unlimited passwords, passes and devices, safe sharing, dark web monitoring, or real-time fishing alerts. The premium includes a VPN at its top, which does not provide friends and family. The latter is good for 10 members, eg, family members, though.

Dashalane option
Dashlen cannot be the most expensive password manager, but it is not even the cheapest. Here are options for dashlen that you can consider.
- Bitwardon: Open the source cross-platform password manager with a liberal free version supporting unlimited equipment, password, password, management and more. A premium option is available for $ 1 per month or $ 10 per year that adds an integrated authent in emergency access, security report, file attachment and mixture. Sync password using integrated features.

- Proton pass, Another open source password manager By manufacturers of proton mail, VPN and storage. The free option supports unlimited login, notes and equipment, access all apps and extensions, supports passakies, and 10 hiding at the top-My-Memail Nickname. Sinking is supported. Currently the paid plan is $ 2.99 per month. It adds unlimited email, underlying 2FA certification, safe vault sharing, dark web monitoring and more.
You should be able to import dashlen passwords to these applications.
Closing word
The writing was on the wall. A password manager with a range on the number of stored passwords is not really a great option. Many dashlen -free users moved after Dashlen announced the border in 2023. Now, the remaining users are forced to make decisions.
