According to Microsoft’s advisory, the scope of the Remote Desktop issue is wide, affecting Windows 11 version 25H2, Windows 10 22H2 ESU, and Windows Server 2025.
Users who rely on remote desktop to access work or home systems were effectively locked out until an emergency patch was available. Microsoft No detailed description of how the issues occurred in testing, but confirmation that the fixes fully address the reported behavior was confirmed.
