Developers have released the first major update of 2025. it is Already available For all supported platforms and it includes many significant changes and improvements.

Improvement in auto
All browser supports extension improvement. Till now, you had to use Phil-button to automatically fill login information.
Once the update is installed, you can start the process by clicking only an entry. This functionality is not capable by default, but you can enable it in the following way:
- Select Settings> Autofil.
- Togle “to enable the feature, click on autofil to autofil on the vault.
Once capable, clicking on the vault item will be pasted in the web form on the active webpage. To see an item from the menu, select the three-dots menu and then to do so.
The second auto filler improves the entry of TOTP-codes using a browser extension. Bitwardon supports the two-factor authentication code for a long time. They need to be recorded as second certification phase, provided that you have configured this additional layer with security.
With updated updates, it is now possible to use the inline menu to enter the TOTP code on websites. It is necessary to enable the inline autofil menu, if you have not already done so. Here’s how it is done:
- Select Settings> Autofil.
- Find the “show autofil suggestions on the form field” and choose the desired autofil memethode.
Bitwardon recommends disabling autofils of the web browser to avoid conflicts.
