June 2025 How to download and install security
The non-managed Windows system will download and install security updates automatically by default. While administrators can change the default setting, a large number of systems will automatically receive updates.
Establishment does not occur in real time. Users can speed up installation in the following way:
- Open the start menu, type Windows updates, and choose the result.
- Activate the “check for updates” button. It runs a manual check for updates.
- If the update is not downloaded automatically, activate the “All download and install” button.
Comment: We recommend that you create a system backup before installing an update for Windows. Bugs and issues can be introduced that Microsoft does not know at that time. A separate backup that does not rely on the integrated recovery tool, when these devices fail, can restore the system.
