Epic Games Store Sid Mier’s civilization is offering VI. Once it is yours to claim it forever.
Generally, we do not write about free games here. But I think it is a noticeable.
Civilization VI, or CIV 6, as called by fans, was released in 2016. The 4X game was first given at the epic Games Store in 2020. It was just a base game, the platinum version comes with considerable additional materials. So if you had already claimed it 5 years ago, you can now claim DLCs.
Sid Mier’s civilization VI: Platinum version comes with the following DLCs.
- Vikings landscape pack
- Poland civilization and landscape pack
- Australia civilization and landscape pack
- Persian and Macedon civilization and landscape pack
- Nubia civilization and landscape pack
- Khmer and Indonesia civilization and landscape pack
- Increase and decline expansion
- Hurdle
What is the difference between platinum version and anthology? Well, you do not get material from Leader Pass (12 leaders), and The New Frontier Pass (Maya and Gran Columbia Pack, Ethiopia Pack, Bijantium and Gaul Pack, Babylon Pack, Vietnam and Kubli Khan Pack, Portugal Pack).
Steamdb It is said that Sid Mier’s civilization VI: Platinum version bundle was recently removed. It was priced at $ 80, but went on sale for $ 15 or less from time to time. 2K may have stopped the discounts to push players for CIV VI DLCs towards CIV VII, later not acquired well by the community (mostly negative ratings on steam), and also Danuvo.
Civ VI has a gold rating Abundant For steam decks which means it is playable, and yes you can also play it on Linux and MacoS. You may have to use brave launcher to download the game, add it to steam and run it with proton compatibility on Linux.
Sid Meier’s civilization VI: Get the platinum version for free from the EPIC Games Store. Walks cheap By 25 July (next Thursday), So make sure that you claim it before it ends.
Now, the only problem in getting the game at the Epic Games Store is that you will not have access to the modes available on the steam workshop. There are a handful of life-mode which one can consider necessary. Personally, I like Simple UI adjustment of sukritact, Detailed map deal, Extended policy card, Better report screen (UI), to make some names. I am not sure if it is possible to get those modes for the Epic Games version. Said that, Community accelerated user interface Available on Github. This is very good, too. You can check other websites for the mod.

CIV 6 is great for beginners. I recommend you to try this, even if you have never played 4x games or turn-based games before. Once you wet your feet with CIV, you can see in more advanced games like the old world, mankind, age 4 of age 4, or you can go for space-themed games such as endless space 2, galactic civilization IV, Orion Master, etc.
If you ever feel burnt on the game, take a break from gaming. Try to read books, watch some movies, TV shows, documentary. If you still do not feel like playing games after a break, try to play something with a style that you will not do normally, such as a platform, a racing game, a grand strategy, a rose. This is really how I finished playing CIV 4, but eventually it became a franchise/style that I like. You can sit back and cold, enjoy some music, or listen to your favorite podcast, or even watch games or videos while playing sewers.
What are your favorite strategy games?
Thanks for reading..
