Microsoft is adding some new features to the link of the Windows app. This will allow you to manage your Windows PC from your Android phone.
Android authorityMishal Rahman writes that a user on the Dev Channel of Windows 11 was able to test a new towel called “Access PC’s clipboard”, which allows users to copy / send images and text on their Android phone from their PCs, using the Windows App using the phone link / link.
But this appears to be a one-way sink, that is, you cannot reach the clipboard of your phone on Windows 11. According to the report, another user was able to see a list of items that were stored on their PC clipboard, aka clipboard history.
The app also has a new button that says lock PC, which you can click to lock your Windows PC from a distance. Since it does not rely on Bluetooth, you can lock the PC from anywhere. This option is available only when the “Remote PC Control” settings app is capable of the Windows Mobile Devices section. You manage it settings> Bluetooth and device> mobile devices> device.

Windows CentralZAC Bodden also reports that the “lock PC” button is available as part of the recent update of the Windows app. The update also includes some more options, including the ability to share files and photos in the PC from the phone, and insert the screen of the phone into the PC. Technically, you can already send phones and vice versa from PC, but the new implementation seems simple. The new features are available in Windows 1.25071.165 or new version links, and are seen rolling for users. The iOS version of Link to Windows supports sending files from PC from the iPhone already, but not other features, it is not clear whether the options will be added to the iOS app or not.
I am advising to use once again Local, Where connectIf you want to share files between your Windows PC/ Linux/ Mac/ Android/ iOS. Both applications are free, open sources, an account is not required.
Do you like these features?
