These clips fit into the tailgate and the strings from the parcel shelf hook on to it.
Fitting Instruction:
First put the slotted part of the clip into the hole, it will seem loose which is normal, then push in the center pin part of the clip ( it may need some pressure, use a block of wood or back of a screwdriver ), this will expand the clip part inside the hole making it fit tight.

The plugs are just a fraction too small so that they come off too easily. I fixed that by putting a piece of shrink tubing around it. Then it’s just tight enough.
