Last week, I reported that Microsoft has brought new formatting options for notepad. Let’s see a close to how features work.
I am on the same app version as I was a week ago, which is the notepad 11.2504.62.0. Therefore, I think it just activates facilities randomly for me. I am sure that when I opened the notepad, I did not notice the formatting bar this morning, and it remained open. But it was when I tabped it about an hour earlier. Sorcery!
When formatting options are available, you will see the bar at the top of the screen. Notepad also shows an introduction to the characteristics that include the text formatting the text in bold, italic styling, markdown syntax.

Type something, and then click on bold or Italic to style your text. You can also use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl + B, Ctrl + I for the same. Add a clickable hyperlink (URL) with Ctrl + K, you have to click CTRL + to open the web page.

To clean the formatting, simply hit the button in the right edge of the toolbar, or press Ctrl + Space. Alternatively, you can use the clear formatting option under the editing menu.

You cannot copy and paste the format in the other from one tab (document) in the notepad. Why not do this work? I assumed that the copy and paste feature is still limited to plain text. Or is it? No, it’s not. Sticking the formatted text in a new blank notepad tab will result in the result of plain text, but, if you type something and make a little change in it, it paste the material properly. For example, type anything, and turn it into bold or italic. Now paste the text, and it will paste the formatted version. This sounds a little strange to me, but I think the notepad activates formatting on the basis of per-dust/tab, and the formatting is disabled by default. Oh, and I was able to paste the format text in the Libraofis writer, and it worked well.

Check the position of the notepad, it changes between plain text and is formatted to indicate the style of the document. You can click on the position to switch between the format and the markdown scene.

When you save a document that has a format text, the notepad warns you to save the file in the .MD format to maintain the formatting, and saving it as a plain text document (.TXT) will cause loss of formatting.

Not a fan of formatting options? Prominent for settings and disabled formatting of notepad.

These improvements make the notepad a fairly modern text editor.
What do you think about new features? Yay or nay?
Thanks for reading..
