Microsoft released A few hours ago update Big 2025 to its Windows 11 operating system. Windows 11 2025 update, or Windows 11, called version 25h2, is the annual feature update that releases for Microsoft Windows 11.
The good news is that this year’s update will be installed quickly on many systems. Microsoft issued what it says to a competence package, which upgrade the system. The update is installed in a few minutes, as all relevant packages are already installed on the system.
Users will not have to sit through update installation and repeated reboots through half an hour or more. It is installed like a small update, but only for devices that run Windows 11, version 24h2, last year’s update.
How to get Windows 11 2025 update
The rollout of the update has started, but not every Windows 11 device will get immediately. Only the system that runs Windows 11, with the latest updates installed, will get an opportunity to immediately grab the update to the version 24h2. This means that preview updates, some call it beta, for Windows 11, 24h2 needs to be installed on the device.
For that, it is necessary to enable “get the latest updates” as “as soon as they are available” in Settings> Windows updates.
However, there are also issues that can prevent installation. Microsoft lists just two Official Windows 11 25H2 Dashboard,
- Problems playing protected materials in some blue-rays, DVDs, digital TV applications.
- Update installations through Wusa can fail, if installed with a shared folder.
If the past has to do anything, more known issues will be added to the listing in the coming weeks as the operating system update is gradually making its way on user equipment.
The device running the old versions of Windows, for example Windows 11, for version 23h2, has to undergo extended updated installations. This means that long -term updates and more reboots in the process, and it is also a high probability that something goes wrong on the way.
A brief observation of what is new in Windows 11 2025 update
The feature update is a strong focus on AI. This means, if your device is not a copilot+ PC, you will not get access to most features that offer Microsoft in the new version.

- Policy-based app removal: It can remove Microsoft Store apps through admin policies.
- Windows Backup for Organizations: Enterprises enables uninterrupted device infections for users
- Quick Machine Recovery: Tools again with important boot errors
- Better safety credential experience: Windows Hello and Pasaki interfaces were re -designed.
- Privacy Settings: Displays apps using an on-device generative AI model
And many features of AI are reserved for Copilot+ PC, some of which will be released later, however, on Microsoft notes Issue note page,
Should you install updates?
Although it attracts some users to install the convenience updates quickly, a caution approach to the major Windows updates is often a better course of action. The past has shown that major updates introduce new errors and issues, some of which are not found during development by Microsoft.
Until you really need a single facility, it can be intelligent to leave the update to wait yet and the week passes to judge its quality.
