Windows 11 users will soon be able to connect two audio output devices simultaneously. Users have long been requesting this feature.
This facility was seen FantomophyrethWho shared a couple of screenshots to highlight the new settings. The users will be able to select “shared audio” from the quick settings panels, which will motivate you to select two output devices to connect. You just have to choose the equipment from the list, and click on the share button, it should work.

It is not only about adding 2 audio devices and switching between them as required. We are talking about the playback together here, in principle you should be able to use it to play audio from 2 different sets of speakers, right? I think it will also be possible to mix and match a wired speaker, and add a Bluetooth soundbar to the mixture. It can promote volume, and can provide a good to watch movies. Or as Windows Central Note, two people can use it to add 2 pairs of headphones and listen to music at the same time.

It feels good, but the Windows is too late for the party. Both Macos and Linux have allowed users to add several sound output devices for a decade or more. You can do the same on smartphones.
There is a way to collect sound devices through stereo mix settings in Windows. You have to configure it with sound settings. This is not a particularly convenient way to install it. There are some third party tools that can be used to connect several audio output devices at the same time. Being a native option is better than being dependent on apps, it will be user friendly, and more importantly reliable.
Do you use many audio output devices with your PC?
